Invitation: science centre AHHAA and Science Alive joint course in September
In the afternoon of 1st September short course about science communication held jointly by science centre AHHAA and Science Alive starts, aiming to train young scientists and active students for public presentation and develop hands-on activities to be carried out during Researchers’ Night 2016.
During four 1,5-hour seminars participants will learn about different possibilities for science communication, will find the best method talking about their speciality or research in a simple language and develop practical activity to demonstrate its essence and to engage people.
Participants who have passed the course will know how to talk clearly and shortly about their studies or research, have developed an activity (workshop, game or other) demonstrating their studies and become a member of the network of science communicators. Additionaly, passing the course gives 2 credits!
Who can participate? Bachelour, Master and PhD students, university workers and science enthusiasts who want to develop their presentation skills and/ or find new solutions for introducing their studies or research. Working language Estonian (if needed) and English.
